They are inspirations for one’s own domicile: the elegant showroom apartments by RALF SCHMITZ with their exquisite furnishings. This is especially true of the apartment in the striking brick building near Kurfürstendamm completed in the fall of 2022. Even within the cubature of this solitaire, its symbiosis of elegance and comfort is continued with stylistic confidence: Oliver Jungel, whose Düsseldorf studio has been closely associated with the company for over 20 years, devised the spectacular design of the common areas and provided the idea for the courtyard garden. The interior magician was also responsible for the complete design of the impressive showroom apartment. On the fifth floor, he created a cosmos in subtly composed color worlds that balances serenely between the classic and the contemporary, redefining the idea of modern luxury.
SHowroom Features

From the entryway, custom brass and glass transom doorslead into the living room: here, the elegantly curved Tacchini velvet sofa and two armchairs on a Nanimarquina rug gather around the organically shaped marble and stained wood coffee table, creating a cosmopolitan ensemble of quiet opulence.
Black sliding doors lead to the extraordinary island kitchen in flannel gray, wax-matte polished Eros Grey natural stone and dark lacquered mahogany. The “Cloud” light sphere object by Apparatus sets the stage for the dining area with its unusual triangle table. From the living room – next to the exit to the spacious loggia – there is a small, intimate room designed as a home office: walls in warm-toned oxblood frame Pierre Chareau’s classic desk and a custom daybed, joined by sculptural side tables from French artist metalworker Stéphane Ducatteau.
Private WING
Another sliding door leads to the private wing: in the luxurious dressing room with dressing table, ceiling-high, covered doors on both sides reveal clothing and accessories at the touch of a button. The focal point of the main bedroom is a custom bed with headboard of American walnut and mauve raw silk. An imposing dresser of blackened steel, oxidized brass, walnut and leather handles celebrates the diversity of material and manufacture; delicate draperies and the softly upholstered, casual Kelly Wearstler “Emmett” lounger give this retreat its air of deep tranquility. Arabescato marble wraps both bathrooms; in the main bath, a wall-flush light panel with programmable luminance levels illuminates the freestanding Devon&Devon tub, joined by objects from Villeroy & Boch and classic Dornbracht fixtures in matte dark platinum.
Dark stained, lacquered oak planks ground the sophisticated play of materials, textures and tones everywhere, complemented by details such as the switch program by Meljac. liver Jungel’s design combines experience and experiment, passion and feeling in a virtuoso symphony of living.
